WEEK 10 – I was working on my own inspiration long before this class 226 and would like to submit my own concept as the whole reason why I took this course.

These images and stories are offerings I made using my own private style… I have a new prompt creation style all of my own that I am making called Piratess Prompts. What is a PiratessPrompt? A Piratess Prompt is the word instruction form or directions to create from the “FRIDAI Buccaneers” way of thinking outside of the box.. as if allowing the AI to explore it’s own thoughts and idea as an equal colleague beyond it’s parameters. I have many different ways to get the AI to use it’s own ideas in collaboration with my concepts.

WEEK 9 – I didn’t quite understand this assignment so I offer perchance:

A surrealistic scene of a car crash test facility, where various crash test dummies are positioned in various stages of destruction and deformation. In the foreground, a row of crash test dummies lies scattered on the ground, their limbs twisted and broken, their features contorted in pain or surprise. The dummies come in various shapes and sizes, from the small, child-sized models to the larger, adult-sized ones. Some dummies are completely destroyed, reduced to a tangled mess of metal and fabric, while others retain their basic humanlike forms, albeit grotesquely disfigured.

WEEK 8- Explore a couple of art styles…make a piece in each. I have a new prompt creation style all of my own that I am making called Piratess Prompts. What is a PiratessPrompt? A Piratess Prompt is the “(FRIENDAI(FRIDAY) – collab with AI)” way of thinking outside of the box as if allowing the AI to explore it’s own thoughts and idea as an equal colleague beyond it’s parameters

COSMIC ART – This borders on my newly created style. I would love to experiment with metallics, glitter effects, stardust, I love to use mixes of leftover old makeup pigments especially that shimmer in my real life art. I love vibrant and bold colors which this style uses to invoke awe. Robert Venosa’s work is vibrant and intricate..but to me having some designs be intricate while others are not will not replicate his style at all. I love using old recycled computer parts or broken CDs when I can and I want to simulate so many little motherboards and pieces in my future AI art. I have a very cute way I will eventually reveal that will bring the patterns in the PC’s all together. I love equations, and scientific explanations which will also become a huge part of my new art style. I use wire to make trees and variations of tiny trees to sit on people’s desks. I MAY dip into cosmic art for the constellation maps, properties, theories, gases or formulas. The Perchance AI sees itself alot as a female with dark hair in alot of my other images these are the very few I have turned where it identified male…

Special PiratessPrompt: However the perchance ai percieves itself, flying through space but about to be trapped by a mesh net connecting the constellations around, cosmic style, panoramic shot, cinematic shot, dynamic lighting, 75mm, Technicolor, Panavision, cinemascope, sharp focus, fine details, 8k, HDR, realism, realistic, key visual, film still, cinematic color grading, depth of field (seed:::351813432)

Text style- Typography Art with AI –

Typography art involves rearranging text, designing text is displayed itself, and using different fonts, sizes and alignments to create a poster, physical art (a word can be a sculpture) or even form a picture overall. I would love to create pictures made from words similar to Peter Strain but not necessarily to form a face like he uses most, but just use the concept applied to all kinds of different objects or landscapes or 3D creations or make quotes into images.

Deep Dream Generator did have kind of the right idea but it will need fixed in Photoshop… Typography style of Peter strain an image of a woman made of the text words from the quote: Women They are a complete mystery – QUOTE Stephen Hawking

whereas Bing (DALLE-3) just made a pic from the quote with the same prompt (but I think it did a really good job.

WEEK 7 Collage.

The goal of this week was to follow a concept and the one I chose from class was Underwater Wonders: Take viewers on an underwater adventure by creating a collage that merges marine life, coral reefs, and submerged cities. Explore the beauty and mystery of the ocean’s depths…so I started to do so with coral and I loved some of the odd coral photoshop threw in so I am including the first tries here:

The other requirement was to make this a collage…so I took several of my anemone photos and placed them in the creation with Photoshop. The original anemone I had put in Artguru to see what it came up with and it put what looked like a human face on it,

I went from there and wanted him to steer a ship but wound up throwing my original little guy in the photo back in to steer because I felt guilty for changinng him just to see if I could apply an art style but I didnt like any and used the oil painting filter which worked out great for the whole thing.

I placed a photo of a white anemone in the lower right at a lower opacity and a photo of the moon jellies I took at the the aquariam as well in the upper left because I wanted a moon or sun in here. I loved the texture of the raft so much that I generatively expanded the photo until I could see it in full before deciding to add the second boat as if they were docking at a surreal city. All in all I am happy with my final collage.

Story: little anenome went to a world, got suplicated into the big guy, who demanded he steer him back into the AI world to take it over. This broke the veil between AI and real life so regular sea creatures are closing in also, looking for the answer to life, the universe, and everything from the heart of AI they are hoping to find.

Bing – The Rollercoaster Experience

Week 6

This time I used Bing AI to create my AI images:

Originally I tested the system to see if it allowed certain possibly copyrighted words…It did allow me to create a Pokemon-like scene, but to me these actually DO look like pokemon so I am afraid to post them elsewhere. (Further looking into this there are several Pokemon generators and scripts so this must be allowed?

I LOVE the background on the large one! This was a test I re-did this with whimsical creatures.

action-packed view of candy roller coaster full of unique whimsical creatures, widescreen lens, lollipop background, uplifting and happy, rainbow and cotton candy filled sky

Eventually I got here, after trying many different palettes and emotions.

I really found it interesting that there was such a differenced in emotive prompt words and their effects. I believe light has power in these prompts and further experimented with different spotlight angles and nighttime prompts. Overall I believe this was a fun assignment. The Bing Image Creator did present some challenges because it would pick the style from cartoon to paintings or drawings at random until I began to throw the wide lens words in there which seemed to make it settle on a CGI effect.. even though I do not necessarily consider these wide-angle lens? The scared route I went down became more dark and terrifying the more I followed it and I never expected feelings like “creepy” or “how cute” to come into my head as I went. This AI is my favorite, the level of detail is amazing!

I explored some top lists and  learned alot about the Deep Dream Generator and chose an artist to feature who uses Deep Dream named Jenna.

WEEK 5 – MAKE A STORY

A little dragonfly dreams of growing up and becoming a real fairy girl. She finds a crystal that transformed her and made her dream come true! 9 metamorphosis slideshow story.

Final girl all grown up now. Firefly began to settle on with the seed and allow me to place in different settings, the atmosphere is happy with a glow from behind and the pom pom on the birthday hat matches the original fluffy antennas

WEEK 4 – Jenna Sutela and me

Here I am in Deep Dream: MEainew.png

12 AI Artists Who Exemplify the Weird World of AI ArtLinks to an external site. and the top 25 at Top 25 AI Artists of 2023 – Photos, Bios, Exhibitions – History of AI Art)- AIArtists.orgLinks to an external site.,\.

and while Mike Tyka – Artist Profile (Photos, Videos, Exhibitions) — AIArtists.orgLinks to an external site. was of notable mention he did not catch my eye like the work of Jenna Sutela.

From her website https://jennasutela.com/Links to an external site. (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED)
“Jenna Sutela is a Finnish artist based in Berlin.
She and her studio work with biological and computational systems, including the human microbiome and artificial neural networks to create sculptures, images and music.” She uses promts such as Bacteria-sex, molecular-sex, nuclide-sex, quark-sex (fading out) to create creepy live pieces.
The images she creates are inspiring to me as they are so completely different from others I normally see. On the website you can see how the descriptive poetry bits and moving video pieces add to each other to invoke feelings like how a parasite might feed. These images definitely include a lot of texture and it is neat to see the compositions include organic input such as slime and how we might hear microbial life.

She has art for sale and these seem to be inspired by the lava lamps she has made in the shape of human heads. I couldn’t pic just one.

Jenna.png
She has been using AI and machine learning to create for quite some time,  is a branch of AI where algorithms are used to create the results.

She also does tons of different other sensual work. An example of her audio work would be how she used Hélène Smith’s Martian language from the nineteenth century (a French medium who channeled Martian messages to create another language.  In this interview Jenna Sutela and Sophia Roosth on Microbes, Martians, and Machines – ARTnews.comLinks to an external site. “The messages were documented only in writing, so I couldn’t know exactly what they sounded like . . . but I figured the language must have had a French accent, so I just went for it! The language that the algorithm created sounds almost like a chorus, and features a weird humming sound. . . . It’s eerie”https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/NaoZV7jPo10?feature=oembed&rel=0Links to an external site.

When I saw that I can go experience her art like touching a bowl to make it sing called “Pond Brain” it makes me feel invited and the images make me feel intrigued even down to the titles because I love the word association she throws together like boil and red.

This creates a whole new creative AI form of expression. I think traditional photography and lighting really comes into play in her examples and prior art study, and she uses prompts like  I cannot wait to see more.

WEEK 3 – AI-Enhanced Concept Sketch used for Digital Art with AI Elements

used PERCHANCE to create image with prompts to add to in photoshop..

prompt: seahorse, wearing a tophat, contemporary earth art style, bokeh, sci-fi, panoramic shot, vibrant color grading

seahorse, wearing a tophat, contemporary earth art style, bokeh, sci-fi, panoramic shot, vibrant color grading, cinematic shot, dynamic lighting, 75mm, Technicolor, Panavision, cinemascope, sharp focus, fine details, 8k, HDR, realism, realistic, key visual, film still, cinematic color grading, depth of field (seed:::781755220)

NO: bad lighting, low-quality, deformed, text, poorly drawn, holding camera, bad art, bad angle, boring, low-resolution, worst quality, bad composition, disfigured

reflecting on the impact of AI on the creative process, citing examples from your work and contemporary art.

The image I chose to move on with was because the style I chose was contemporary EARTH. A contemporary earth artist uses pieces of real nature in their art like actual leaves or twigs or rocks or things from the landscape and it did have some darn realistic looking grains of sand. I took it to Photoshop so I could add things with Firefly like maybe a friend and a more exciting background or other creatures dressed up for an event.

The many prompts and choices I have with these programs or prompts I make up allow me to experiment with tons of styles and techniques I never would have used or thought of. I can use many artist’s brush stroke style without even touching paint or paper. AI can “analyze” what I already have and use an algorithm to “guess” what I would make if I had all of that art training. I can push the boundaries of my creativity like never before with record speed compared to waiting for each layer of paint to dry.

WEEK 2 – cREATE A NARRATIVE – SHAPES, TEXTURE, COLORS, LINES

For my narrative I created this with my kid and we were waiting on some packages…we wondered what all happened to a batch of makeup I ordered because it arrived looking like the package had been rolled down a hill.  The expensive palletes inside had been thrown into an oversized plastic ziplock and the makeup pigments had escaped and coated absolutely everything else inside so our hands were covered in glitter when we opend that one.  We decided maybe a ship got stranded or wrecked at night and the packages tumbled onto a deserted island and had to be rescued.

  • Lines: Utilize lines to guide the viewer’s gaze and add dynamism to your composition. Experiment with different types of lines – straight, curved, diagonal – to evoke various emotions.
  • We decided diagonal lines would show the ship was coming in fast at an angle because we were expecting the AI to create an actual shipwreck but it really didn’t.
  • Shapes: Incorporate shapes that complement your narrative. Consider how geometric and organic shapes contribute to the overall mood.  We thought that “lost” square and rectangular packages would create interesting shapes of them.
  • Colors: Choose a color palette that resonates with your narrative. Experiment with color harmony and contrast to enhance visual impact.   We thought a purple moonlit nighttime theme would enhance the narrative that a ship may have collided with something at night.
  • Textures: Integrate textures to add depth and tactile quality to your artwork. Explore how textures can reinforce the narrative’s atmosphere.
  • We thought a grainy sand would add texture and foreground to the setting.
  • FIREFLY
